Well it's 2011 finally. Onwards and upwards. Hope you all had a great holiday and are looking forward to the new year! I know we are.
Long Night Moon is finally out and available at CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and all your favorite outlets. It's jumping off the cdbaby shelves - I'm re-upping today so everyone can get their copy. We're getting good airplay - especially on KTUH in Hawaii - I guess they like their country music there as much as anywhere! We've got people looking for TV and movie things for us to do and Georgia Meadows has already covered one of our tunes - I'll upload it shortly.
We're not sitting still tho' and basking in the glory of finally getting the record released. We've done a bunch more toons over the holidays - the usual stories of Gwyn's failed love life (he does write the words so I assume they're coming from experience - but I might be wrong.....maybe he's just a great storyteller!!!) and some real heartbreak stories about what the world is like today to live in - where you can't get a job no matter how hard you try, even if you're willing to pick up sticks and move to where you think the jobs are - they ain't there either! It's tough out there. We know it because we see it. And we're hoping to bring something good into your life to make you forget the bad things and be thankful for what you've got.

Hi There
Welcome to all our friends - especially those who've followed us from The Davids and The Time Between.
Gwyn and I have a new project this time under our own moniker. We also have a new CD on the way - Long Night Moon - that will get released if we can ever decide on what songs to include that is. If nothing else we are is prolific! Here's the cover photo of the new album....
I know in the past we've been a little all over the map - a bit of pop here, a bit of country here and, with The Davids we even had a few Brian Wilson style songs! Since those illustrious days we've become more focused on our songwriting and our playing and that's lead us further into an area we'd explored before but now just seems to fit where our heads and hearts are.
Yep we're a Country band!
Given that Gwyn lives in the UK and David is on the West Coast we're struggling a little to provide that live band experience - we'd love to do it and won't say no but what we thought we'd try to do on the new collection is show our breadth as songwriters.
We think we have a distinctive voice here - well Gwyn does - and he brings a soulful, almost Conway Twitty-ish quality to the songs. There's some great new, real country out there - Jamey Johnson, Bonny Prince Billy, Rick Shea, but not as much as we'd like - and we want to be part of that family!
We'll be back with some song previews and some more background details on what we're up to. In the meantime get out to your local shows and enjoy the music!
